- In children younger than 16 years of age the sample is taken in the presence of parents!
- Exclude vigorous exercise (athletic training) and alcohol in the day before the sample is collected.
- Collection of the blood is preferentially done in the morning, after 8-14 hours of night fasting (in infants – before next breastfeeding).
